Swimming through muddy water, crawling under barbed wire, climbing over walls, plunging into a pool of ice and getting electrocuted - not a typical Sunday afternoon, but this is exactly what some of the Astro team took on at the Tough Mudder North London race on Sunday 8th July, in aid of raising money for local charity Streets2Homes.
The team tackled 20 challenging obstacles spread out over a 10 mile course, requiring the highest levels of teamwork and camaraderie to complete the race on one of the hottest days of the year yet.
As a result, Astro are delighted to announce that they raised a fantastic £2,956 for Streets2Homes.
Streets2Homes are a fantastic charity that operates a day centre for homeless and vulnerably housed individuals. They offer various services to meet basic needs, including shower facilities, clean clothes and hot meals all within a safe and friendly environment. Streets2Homes provide vital support in rehousing homeless individuals as well as offering benefits advice and pathways to employment.
Thank you to all those that supported the Astro team and made a donation.
