Astro lights up Youth Café project
Astro has donated interior and exterior lighting for the Thirst Youth Café charity project in Bishops Stortford, UK. Astro's founders John Fearon and James Bassant heard about the project from retired Astro administrator Richard Wykes, who is connected to the project via his local church. They were delighted to help.
Astro has supplied 29 lights in all, including Montparnasse and Toronto exterior wall lights, and Magna single spotlights.
Richard, who worked at Astro for 11 years before his retirement in January 2014, said it was a "huge thrill when Astro donated the lights", and was a significant contribution to getting the café up and running. The doors opened on November 14th 2014.
In his letter of thanks, the Bishops Stortford Youth Café chair of trustees, Nicholas Lines, said: "Like you, creativity and integrity are key to us, but our core vision is to engage, promote and develop the young people and youth culture of Bishops Stortford. It is donations like yours that are helping to create a place in which we can fulfil this."
