With longevity at the core of design at Astro, our Design Director, James Bassant, sat down with [d]arc media's Managing Editor, Helen Ankers, to discuss what it takes to produce timeless designs that stand the test of time.

During the discussion, which was a part of Decorex's virtual event, The Edit, James explains how sustainability is a key focus in the longevity of any design which is imagined at our Harlow, Essex, HQ: "I'd like someone to look at the product and think: 'that's great for this scheme, and I want it to look great in five years' time or ten years' time;" creating, what he describes to Helen as, products with a "contemporary timelessness," whilst still acknowledging trends.

Highlighting our commitment to design, which places detail and function at the forefront, he explains that an Astro product "sits quietly, confidently and contemporarily in a scheme; but when attention does fall on it, it is the quality of the detail that stands out."
