Scarman Accommodation, Warwick
At the University of Warwick's Scarman onsite accommodation, Whittam Cox Architects were appointed to refurbish 204 bedrooms and bathrooms as part of a £3.5 million project by Warwick Conferences. The refurbishment aimed to breathe new life into the rooms while maintaining the existing high-quality joinery, which was refreshed with vinyl wrapping to reduce waste and support sustainability efforts.
To enhance each room's ambience and functionality, Whittam selected our Taiko 400 in Matt Black as the primary lighting solution. The Taiko 400's modern and sleek design seamlessly integrated with the contemporary interior and robust finishes, providing a timeless look.
The Taiko 400 elevates the space by providing both direct and ambient lighting, essential for creating a relaxing and inspiring environment for students and other guests. Additionally, its energy-efficient LED technology supports Warwick Conferences' goal of achieving carbon zero by 2030. The durable Matt Black finish and minimalist design of the Taiko 400 ensure that it remains both timeless and stylish.
