Astro Wins Queen's Award for International Trade 2018
Astro is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a prestigious Queen's Award for International Trade for the second time. The Queen's Award is widely considered the highest official accolade for any UK business and is fantastic recognition of Astro's commitment to international trade and continual growth.
Astro has continued to achieve 20% growth year on year since the company was founded in 1997 by John Fearon and James Bassant, with export now accounting for almost 50% of turnover. Astro distributes to over 80 countries worldwide and has established subsidiaries in the USA, Singapore, China and Italy, meaning that Astro lights can be found within inspirational design schemes across the globe.
The Queen's Award is a widely recognised as a mark of excellence and helps to raise awareness of high quality, British Design across the globe - a message which is promoted by Astro wherever possible.
