Role overview

The role of a 3D Visualizer is to create photorealistic 3D images and visual media with the use of in-house rendering software which visually represent the Astro brand.

The use of photorealistic rendering is required for a wide variety of marketing projects that form part of Astro's overall marketing and communications programme. The 3D Visualizer must be able to work effectively as an individual and within the wider Marketing team. The 3D Visualizer must ensure that within their work output and in their professional conduct, they fully reflect our Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Digitally create photorealistic 3D renderings of Astro products and lifestyle scenes within a given time frame.
  • Work with the exhibition team to create photorealistic renderings and digital media to assess design and visualisation of Astro's exhibitions stands.
  • Create 3D environments, materials, textures and bump maps for use within Astro's rendering software.
  • Create innovative 3D animations of Astro's products to enhance marketing material where needed.
  • Assisting with combining product renders into existing photography with the use of Adobe Photoshop software.
  • Digital proportion of rendered imagery for use in digital and printed media with the use of Adobe Photoshop.
  • Prepare CAD models for rendering.
  • Awareness of content created by Astro's competitors.
  • Identify relevant 3D software, software add-ons and suggest training requirements to enhance rendering and digital media within the business.

About you

The 3D Visualizer must be highly organised, and able to comfortably work independently and within a team environment and be able to give and take constructive feedback. They must have creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time restraints and deadlines.

Experience and skills:

  • A strong portfolio of work that communicates photo-realistic schemes.
  • Highly experienced within all areas of the Adobe Suite of products, particularly Photoshop.
  • Highly experienced using Keyshot, 3Ds Max + V Ray, Solidworks and Microsoft Office.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent design-based subject, with at least 2-3 years commercial experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to understand and translate technical information effectively.
  • Forward thinking and initiative
  • Creativity with the confidence to contribute fresh visualization ideas.
  • Self-motivation and a team player mindset
  • Practical thinking and an excellent eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with best practice procedures for creating and storing files.
  • Organisation and excellent time management skills.
  • A flexible approach and openness to new ideas with a passion for continued learning.

  • Keyshot, 3Ds Max & Vray
  • Solidworks
  • Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Aftereffects / Premiere Pro
