In support of the local arts community and to fundraise for homeless charity Streets2Homes, Astro recently organised and held the 'Light the Way' event at the Gibberd Gallery in Harlow, Essex.
A group of eighteen art and design students from Harlow College were involved in the project, each expressing the concept of 'home' using an Astro Eclipse plaster wall light as a blank canvas. Astro Co-founders John Fearon and James Bassant then shortlisted the artwork down to a final group of ten inspiring pieces which were showcased on a wall display at the Gibberd Gallery.
A final winner and two runners up were awarded for their fantastic skill and expression of 'home'. The event was a great success, with all ten lamps sold in a silent auction, raising over £1,300 for Streets2Homes and their work in supporting homeless individuals in the community.
